AkuMed, founded in 1986, is today one of the leading distributors of medical devices for diagnostics and treatment within several medical fields. We are based centrally in Oslo, the Capital of Norway, and have customers throughout the entire country. Today AkuMed operates within the following sectors:

We are continuously expanding our business, partially by always looking into new potential business areas, as well as pursuing new opportunities within our already existing customer portfolio.

AkuMed have 9 employees out of which 3 persons are full time occupied with service and support. We have a impressing results from our customer satisfaction surveys. More than 90% of our customers are highly satisfied with the general service given from AkuMed, and state that they would easily recommend us to other potential customers.

Our main customers today are:

• Rehabilitation centres
• Universities and other educational institutions.
• Top sports centres and regular sports centres.
• Private clinics and specialist clinics

As well we have several other customers within other areas as well.

We have an extensive portfolio of products and we also work closely with our customers on training. To do this properly, we have a training centre together with one of the larger pharmaceutical companies in Norway, were there are held courses, seminar and product trainings every week. This centre also functions as a showroom for our products.

Our employees have either technical or clinical background, and we have a high focus on quality assurance. We work according to the ISO 13485 quality standard for medical devices, and at the moment we are doing an internal audit with one of the certified evaluation tools from EFQM.
